Easter Bunny Cupcakes

With Easter right around the corner hop into the festivities with these Easter Bunny cupcakes.

With Easter right around the corner many people are getting ready to celebrate. This is a way to dress up cupcakes to add a little personal touch to them for all of your guests to admire. The first thing you will need to do is go out and get 24 cupcakes. You can do this by buying them at the store already made, buy a mix and make them, or make them from scratch. Then the decorating begins.

How to Make Easter Bunny Cupcakes

You will need the following to make these cupcakes:

  • 1 pack of shredded white chocolate (optional)
  • 1 box of pink decorating sugar
  • 48 blue M&Ms
  • 1 bag of mini marshmallows
  • 1 bag of large marshmallows
  • 1 tube of black decorating gel
  • 48 white tic tacs
  • 1 fluffy white frosting jar
  • 24 pink jelly beans

The first thing you will want to do is to apply the white frosting to all of your cupcakes. You do not need a lot on the cupcakes for this recipe but make sure to spread it evenly.

If you want your bunnies to look furry then you will need to take the white chocolate and sprinkle it all over each cupcake (if you do not want to use white chocolate, coconut is another option.)

Put two M&Ms on each bunny face for eyes.

Put the pink jelly beans in place for the nose as seen in the picture.

The mini marshmallows are to be placed right under the pink jelly bean, side by side and then you can take the black decorating gel and use it for the whiskers.

The tic tacs are going to be used for the teeth. These are placed side by side under the mini marshmallows.

Last, but not least, are the ears. To do the ears you need to cut 1 large marshmallow in half. Spread the half out so that it is an oval shape and press it down into the icing in place where the ears go. Do the same with the other half of the marshmallow. You then take two mini marshmallows and stretch them out into the same shape but smaller then the ears and cover them in pink decorating sugar. Then gently press these marshmallows onto the large ones making the bunny ears.

There are lots of things you can do to get creative with this recipe. You can add bow ties, use pink decorating gel to make ears on the marshmallows instead of the sugar, make the eyes brown with chocolate chips, this is just a base to get you started and let your creative juices flow!
